Clean and Simple #81

I had a lovely time with this sketch from Clean and Simple Stamping. I thought about it while I was feeding Emma and putting her to bed, and by the time I came up to do some crafting I had a few ideas floating round. So here are two cards I came up with!Ingredients: Good Neighbours Stamp Set, Not Quit Navy, Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze Inks, Kiwi Kiss, Not Quite Navy and Whisper White Cardstock.

Spring Card

Over at Pals Paper Arts, their current theme is "Spring". I am wondering if they would accept cards in an autumn theme from us antipodeans? But Spring is always a lovely theme at any time of year, so I decided to go with it. I was inspired by the beautiful colours used in Carrie Fitch's card - lovely purples and greens. They look so light and spring like. So I tried to use the same colours in my creation. Whilst making this card I decided that there is a BIG hole in my stamp collection - no butterflies! I must address this oversight, and I know just the person to help me...

A Little Pickup

Right, this just HAS to be my last post for today... I'm catching up! Tomorrow I'll be too busy to post - we're off to Fleur's Place for lunch! Yum!

Here is my take on the Mojo Monday Sketch for the week - and I got to use my lovely new Pickup truck again. Makes me think of Bella! (Just for Twi-hards). I'm a little unsure of the Tangerine and Navy combination, but I htink it's ok. I'm a bit limited!

Ingredients: Tangerine Tango, Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy cardstocks, Black, Not Quite Navy and Tangerine Tango inks, Urban Garden DSP.

Diva Coffee Break Design Sketch #167

I love the Diva Coffee Break Designs blog. They have such lovely ideas. And their picks for featured artists are stunning! I especially loved Juliana Bibas' take on sketch challenge #164. Wow! What an amazingly talented lady... and, by the sounds of it, simply an amazing lady too.

Here is the DCB design for challenge #167. I had fun last night making a few cards, and this, I'm afraid, was the hastiest. But I'm still loving my colour combos! And by the way, Helen... I have NO IDEA how I am going to get any challenges done when Mum goes home! I will have to start doing stuff around the house again!! This is possibly why I am hurriedly trying to do as many as possible now...

Ingredients: Basic Grey, Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy cardstocks and pads. Sale-a-bration set Happy Moments.

Our Creative Corner

Yah! A new sketch site! I am loving these sketches - they are giving me such wonderful inspiration, and making me try all sorts of things I would never have tried before. And I'm loving my new push pins!

This is Our Creative Corner's Sketch challenge OCCSC5. I used the lovely designer papers from the Express Yourself Dreamy pack, along with Pink Lemonade and Honeydew cardstock.
I really loved this sketch, and I will definitely use it again. And the ideas freom the site are soooo beautiful!

Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge #28

I have been wanting to enter one of the challenges for Stampin Sisters in Christ, but have very few stamps with a religious content. However, their current one is lovely, and seemed possible for anyone. "Do this challenge, as if you were doing it for Christ himself!"
I have always loved Holman Hunt's The Light of the World, one version of which hangs in St Paul's Cathedral in London. I like the symbolism of Christ knocking at an overgrown door that has no handle on the outside, only on the inside.
That was my inspiration for this challenge - hence the door and the greenery. I wanted to do something about the handles, but realised that it is very apt they are there - on my side, as it were.

Split Coast Stampers Challenge 269

This is my card for Splitcoast Stampers Challenge 269. I loooved using my new pickup truck set and Tangerine Tango. Also teamed with Kiwi Kiss. I have no idea whether I have actually entered the challenge or not; it seems a bit different to entering th other challenges. If all you have to do is enter their keyword code then that's done - but it seems rather simple! Anyway, I enjoyed using the layout.
