Home Away from Home

I have been busy busy busy with my albums, but not posted anything, for reasons that are clear to many of you... my album is a (surprise) gift for someone! However, I've decided to post a few pictures so that you can see what I have been working on. I have been using the new page planner templates HEAPS, which is speeding up my project no end. Thank goodness for that... I have a very definite deadline, and it's coming up fast! I have 10 more page spreads to complete, and 10 days to do them in... one a day doesn't sound that hard, does it?!
This page features use of the new page planner templates, the Creative Cuts tool (loving it!), and the Simply Beautiful colours - papers, ribbons and flowers.

Just Add Ink Wildcard

Thank goodness for Just Add Ink's wildcard this week! A chance to do whatever takes your fancy. This is a page I did with my neice Meegan's Ball photos. She looks absolutely stunning (Meegan is the one in black) and the Diva papers are great to show off the girly girl moments. Before you wonder about the "Just Married" sign, the theme was Las Vegas!
Ingredients: Creative Memories Fashion Diva additions: 12x12 papers, photo mats, embellishments and title stickers. Cardstock in lavender and purple. Delight paper buttons. Ebony mini ABC/123.
Tools: CCS oval templates, corner rounder and square punch.

Victoria's Everyday Display

You knew it was coming, Victoria!!! My sister turned 30 this month, and I have decorated Mum's Everyday Display to mark the event. The hardest part was selecting the photos - there are just far too many gorgeous photos of Vicki as a baby. The papers I have used are from Creative Memories' Delight Baby Girl set - love those beautiful shades - and I used honeydew cardstock for the tags. I also used the scallop, mini circle and tag makers.

The Cube

I love this shape in my scrapbooks, it's so effective and it is really easy to do. I had a workshop the other night and showed a demo of how to make it, then the ladies cut a template from mine. It's actually relatively easy to make your own template to your own specific size, but for ease and speed, any diamond from a perfect hexagon will do. If anyone wants me to email them my directions sheet, let me know on jo.farmer@clear.net.nz, and I'll send you a pdf.The first photo is of the wee cube I have in Matthew's Wishes and Dreams Paper Album, which is the first time I had tried the cube. The second is of the diamonds I cut last week during the demo and I felt they were too good to throw out so I stuck them into his Playcentre scrapbook.

Again, whilst looking for inspiration, I found this layout challenge at the Mojo Monday blog. (MOJO126)

I created this baby card using all Creative Memories products: delight baby girl papers, paper ribbon and paper buttons, plus the cute wee rabbit is a Montarga stamp.

Hope you like it!

This is such a cool page... have a look see! The current challenge involves St Valentines Day. Anything to do with hearts - and you can use any brand of products too. You can view others' designs and get great ideas for your own projects. I feel totally at sea when I see the smazing designs on show here, but I'm hoping to copy the techniques and ideas until I feel more confident. Thank you design team!

Here is my card inspired by the current hearts theme (JAI2). Ingredients: french vanilla and brick cardstock, Starry Night papers. I decorated the brick cardstock with a stamped heart and crimson ink. Tools: CCS circles, heart punch and lovestruck maker. Very simple... for some reason it took me an age to think up though!
