June's Stamp of the Month

Can it really be June already?!
Welcome to June's Stamp of the Month Blog Hop created especially for you by Australasian Consultants. If you have arrived here from Shauna's Blog, Passionate About Pages, you're in the right place. If you've stumbled on us by chance, don't panic! The blog hop is one big circle, so by clicking the links at the end of all the posts you'll be able to view all the inspiration and come right back round to where you started.
This month's special stamp set is one I've been looking forward to using for quite some time. It's just so cool and cheerful. My daughter loves it too :-) and she's thrilled that it's come out of its wrapper at last.
I have to admit that the ideas for this layout came from Liz Mullins Johnson, a CTMH consultant in the USA. She posted a beautiful photo of a single page which used this stamp set, so I converted it into a double-page spread.

For this project I used White Daisy cardstock and teamed it with Pear, Lagoon and Thistle. For embellishments I used the Lagoon Hearts 1" washi tape, the Purple Glitter Gems and the White Shimmer Trim. Click here to be taken to my shop to see these and many other beautiful embellishment ideas.

I stamped the black outlines of the ice creams in Archival Black ink on White Daisy cardstock, then coloured them in with Shin Han markers and cut them out. To give some extra dimension the embellishments are popped up on foam tape.

The "Ice Cream Dream" stamp set can only be purchased in June. It's worth $33NZ, but if you place an order with me worth $75 or more you can get it for just $5. Click here to view the Stamp of the Month page on my website.
Thanks for hopping by! Won't you leave a message before skipping through to view more inspiration on Simone's blog, Scrappy Matters?

Sketch 95

The Atlantic Hearts Challenge site is brilliant for gaining sketch inspiration.. Every week they put up some fab card layout suggestions.
Here is this week's:

For my take on the sketch I used papers form the Brushed range, along with Thistle, White Daisy and Canary cardstock colours. I cut the gumboot from the Artfully sent cartridge. Before I adhered it all together I daubed the edges with black to give a little dimension. I also raised the sentiment and the smaller thistle square up on Foam tape.

3" Notelets

CTMH Annual Inspirations Catalogue Post #4... 3" notecards.
I love having little notecards such as these on hand for those times when you just want to let someone know that you're thinking of them. These cards are 3x3", so I made 8 of them from one sheet of White Daisy cardstock.
I have been working on "one layer" cards a lot recently, and I have combined the one-layer idea with the masking tape background technique which is very popular at the moment to come up with this very quick 5-minute notecard.
I think they are fab - simple, unfussy, quick, and serves the purpose very well.
The "Keep your chin up" stamp set is a $12 A-sized set and I used my new favourite colours, Glacier and Thistle, to give me the background colours.

I stamped the beautiful tree image and the sentiment in black ink last.
