May's Stamp of the Month

Hello and welcome aboard our Australasian Stamp of the Month Close to My Heart Blog Hop. If you have arrived here from Jenny's Heart and Craft Corner,  then you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you this card which features May's Stamp of the Month, "You've Got a Friend". This set of five delightful sentiments is available exclusively throughout May for $29 or for just $5 when you spend $75.

I am playing with the spray pens this month, and have a lot of fun experimenting with different techniques. For the card, I have used a Juniper base, and layered on a piece of colonial white.

I used a Cricut-cut mask and laid it in place on the centre of the white, while spraying it with the spray pen. (Inside the pen I have a mixture of water, juniper ink and Pearl Paint). After it had dried, I stamped the "Moon and Back" sentiment, which is my favourite from the set. I also stamped the decorative borders from the Stitch Wonder stamp set. The 3D roses are created from the Art Philosophy cartridge, and cut at 1.5" and 1.75".
To finish off the card I used some liquid glass to bring out the word "moon".
One thing I have already discovered about using the spray pens is that it's really great to use a box when spraying. In the picture above you can see it's just the corner of a simple cardboard box. But the mist does go pretty much everywhere, so it's great to know you can contain it.

"You've Got a Friend" is only available until the end of May from your CTMH consultant, or you can make a purchase through my online shop. I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop,  Savannah Scraps.
