Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge #28

I have been wanting to enter one of the challenges for Stampin Sisters in Christ, but have very few stamps with a religious content. However, their current one is lovely, and seemed possible for anyone. "Do this challenge, as if you were doing it for Christ himself!"
I have always loved Holman Hunt's The Light of the World, one version of which hangs in St Paul's Cathedral in London. I like the symbolism of Christ knocking at an overgrown door that has no handle on the outside, only on the inside.
That was my inspiration for this challenge - hence the door and the greenery. I wanted to do something about the handles, but realised that it is very apt they are there - on my side, as it were.

  2. Jo, this is an amazing card. I love everything about it! The door is super and the BG paper is fab. BTW you don't have to have scripture stamps to enter our challenges. We use scripture as a starting point to inspire us in our ministry of card making. If you are interested in Scripture related stamps may I suggest Our Daily Bread Designs stamp company. ourdailybreaddesings.com

Thanks for playing along with us at SSCC. I hope to see you again soon.
